Electrophysiologist specializing in complex heart arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation ablation joins Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups in Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – August 17, 2015 – Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) is pleased to announce Dr. Matthew H. Klein, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist, has opened his practice in Palm Beach Gardens. Dr. Klein is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. Dr. Klein specializes in the treatment of complex heart arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and supraventricular tachycardia. He is also highly experienced in the implantation of cardiac devices including pacemakers, implantable loop recorders (ILRs), implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). Dr. Klein is on staff at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center and other local hospitals.

Dr. Klein has extensive experience in catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation. He started the atrial fibrillation ablation program at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in 2010. Dr. Klein also began performing hybrid atrial fibrillation ablation (combined surgical and catheter ablation) in 2014 in combination with the cardiovascular surgeons. Prior to joining PBHNPG, Dr. Klein served the local community as a private practice electrophysiologist in Palm Beach Gardens. Today, Dr. Klein serves as the section chief of electrophysiology at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Dr. Klein has a strong interest in educating the public regarding atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac arrest, and has given numerous local speaking engagements over the years. As a medical expert, Dr. Klein has been featured on several local media outlets and publications including the local CBS news affiliate, the Scott Greenberg Radio Show, and the Palm Beach Post.

For his training, Dr. Klein completed fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and clinical cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Preceding his fellowship training, Dr. Klein finished his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Klein has been practicing medicine in the Palm Beach area since 2010.
