Experienced vascular and endovascular surgeon joins Tenet Florida Cardiovascular Care in West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach, FL – September 5, 2019 – Manuel Vicente Mendez, MD, a vascular and endovascular surgeon, has joined Tenet Florida Cardiovascular Care (TFCC) in his practice in West Palm Beach, FL. Dr. Mendez is certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery. For his areas of interest, Dr. Mendez specializes in peripheral arterial disease (PAD), abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, dialysis access, and venous insufficiency. He’s the director of a diagnostic vascular laboratory, and offers office based endovascular procedures.

Dr. Mendez is on-staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center, and St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, among other local hospitals.

Prior to joining TFCC, Dr. Mendez worked in private practice as a vascular and endovascular surgery specialist at Palm Beach Endovascular in West Palm Beach, FL for the last 20 years. While serving the West Palm Beach community, he directed a non-invasive vascular laboratory. Earlier in his medical career, Dr. Mendez cared for the health needs of a countryside community as a primary care physician at Bauxiven Primary Care/Rural Clinic, Los Pijiguaos, Estado Bolivar, Venezuela.

For his education and training, Dr. Mendez completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Boston Medical Center and the Boston University School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Mendez also completed an Endovascular Fellowship at Instituto Cardiovascular Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, under the mentorship of Dr. Juan Parodi, an innovator in endovascular treatments involving the aorta and in minimally invasive aortic aneurysm surgery. Dr. Mendez finished his general surgery residency program at UMass Medical Center, Worcester, MA. He graduated medical school from Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Mendez has committed time to advancing the field of vascular and endovascular surgery with several publications in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Mendez has been practicing medicine since 1989.
