Fellowship-trained interventional neurologist with extensive clinical research experience joins the Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute

West Palm Beach, Fla. – January 17, 2020 – Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) is pleased to announce Dennys Reyes, MD, an interventional neurologist, has joined the Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute practice in West Palm Beach, FL. Dr. Reyes specializes in neurological disorders of the brain, neck and spine. His areas of interest includes: vascular neurology, endovascular surgical neuroradiology/neurointervention, acute ischemic stroke, carotid artery disease/carotid stenosis, cerebral aneurysms, cerebral arteriovenous malformations, pre-surgical tumor embolization, sclerotherapy of facial venous malformations or vertebroplasties. Dr. Reyes is on-staff at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL, and St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL.

Prior to joining PBNI, Dr. Reyes completed an interventional neuroradiology fellowship at Radiology Associates of South Florida, Baptist Health System located in Miami, FL, and a vascular neurology/stroke fellowship at the National Institutes of Health located in Bethesda, MD. In addition, Dr. Reyes completed the general neurology residency, observership, clinical research fellowship, and an internal medicine internship at the Cleveland Clinic Florida located in Weston, FL. Dr. Reyes graduated medical school from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena (UNPHU), located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Dedicated to the advancement of interventional neurology medicine, Dr. Reyes has presented numerous research projects nationally and internationally. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Reyes has published medical book chapters and numerous medical journals, and participated in multiple clinical trials. He is actively participating in clinical trials such as the TESLA trial for emergent salvage in patients suffering large strokes. Dr. Reyes also presented his research for a discussion on the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the DEFUSE 3 clinical trial applied to a stroke case at a National Institute of Health/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Grand Rounds meeting.

Dr. Reyes is a member of the Society of Vascular Interventional Neurologists, American Heart Association, American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) and the Advanced Neuroscience Network (ANN).
