Delary Beach, Fla. January 21, 2020 – Jeffrey H. Newman, MD, FACS, a highly-experienced cardiothoracic surgeon, has joined the Tenet Florida Cardiovascular Care (TFCC) practice located in the new Delray Medical Center Tower in Delray Beach, FL. Dr. Newman is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He specializes in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, mitral valve repair, minimally-invasive aortic and mitral valve surgery, aortic aneurysm repair, surgical electrophysiology (EP) and robotic and video-assisted thoracic surgery. Dr. Newman is on-staff at Delray Medical Center.

Prior to joining TFCC, Dr. Newman worked most recently at a South Florida based hospital system. He rejoins Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) after previously serving as cardiothroacic surgeon for the multi-specialty group and returns to Delray Medical Center where he’s been a cardiothoracic surgeon on-staff for over 25-years.

For his education and training, Dr. Newman completed a thoracic surgery fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ. In addition, Dr. Newman also finished a residency in thoracic surgery at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, and an internship and residency in general surgery at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York, New York. He graduated medical school from the New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Newman has committed time to advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery medicine through the research he published in several medical journals. Dr. Newman has also participated as a lecturer on the topic of cardiothroacic surgery at conferences and cardiology symposiums. Dr. Newman has been practicing medicine since 1986.
