In an interview with WPEC CBS 12 News, Dr. Joseph Ricotta, vascular surgeon, said a lot of vascular ailments can be fixed as an outpatient procedure. In those cases, patients can come in, have their surgery and go home the same day, Dr. Ricotta said. When the disease progresses untreated, it becomes more complicated and it’s an emergency, it’s harder to fix, Dr. Ricotta added.
