Dr. Nishant Patel was featured in a local newspaper story about care he provided to a woman who suffered from a saddle pulmonary embolism causing ailments to her lungs and heart. Dr. Patel temporarily implanted a cardiac pump into the right ventricle of the woman’s heart to help blood flow to her body while the embolism was dissolved with medication. The woman suffered the life-threatening ailment while visiting from out of town with her newborn grandchild.
