Boynton Beach, Fla. – July 7, 2021 – Mariano Faresi, MD, FACS, FASCR, a board-certified and fellowship-trained colorectal and general surgeon highly experienced in minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and wound care, has joined Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) in Boynton Beach. Dr. Faresi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diverticulitis, anal fistula, anal fissure, anal warts, fecal incontinence, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and colorectal polyps. Dr. Faresi is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is on-staff at Delray Medical Center.

Prior to joining PBHNPG, Dr. Faresi worked as a colorectal and general surgeon in the Boynton Beach community as well as at local area hospitals. Currently, Dr. Faresi is a clinical assistant professor of surgery for the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton as well as the University of Miami School of Medicine and is dedicated to teaching these future medical doctors at area hospitals he has privileges at in the Palm Beach County community including at Delray Medical Center.

For his education and training, Dr. Faresi finished a colorectal surgery fellowship at UT Physicians Colon & Rectal Clinic – Texas Medical Center affiliated with the University of Texas located in Houston, Texas. Dr. Faresi completed a general surgery residency and internship in kidney and pancreas transplant at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. In addition, Dr. Faresi graduated medical school from the School of Medicine at Buenos Aires University located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Early on in his medical career, Dr. Faresi authored numerous medical book chapters and original medical research papers. In addition, Dr. Faresi presented his research findings at national medical society meetings. Dr. Faresi has been practicing medicine since 1997. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
