Delray Beach, Fla. – September 15, 2016 –Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) is pleased to announce Dr. Jonathan Kahan, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist has opened his practice at the South Florida Heart Institute located at 5035 Via Delray, Delray Beach, 33484. Dr. Kahan is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in echocardiography, internal medicine and nuclear cardiology. He is also certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Kahan specializes in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, peripheral arterial disease, echocardiography, dyslipidemia, nuclear cardiology and arrhythmias. Dr. Kahan is on staff at Delray Medical Center.

Prior to joining PBHNPG, Dr. Kahan worked as a Chief Cardiology Fellow at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY, and worked as Assistant Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. He completed a fellowship in general cardiology at Winthrop University Hospital. Dr. Kahan finished a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbia University in New York and he graduated from Sackler School of Medicine New York / American Program in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Dr. Kahan has published journal articles and abstracts in several sources including the European Heart Journal Cardiovascular Imaging, Echocardiography and the American Society of Echocardiography. He is bilingual in English and conversational Hebrew. Dr. Kahan has been practicing medicine since 2010.
