Prime Vascular Institute is led by Joseph Ricotta, MD, MS, DFSVS, FACS, one of the nation’s leading vascular surgeons. He is the National Medical Director for Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy for Tenet Healthcare and Chairman of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Delray Medical Center. He is a Professor of Surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University and is the founder and program director of the FAU Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program, now in its fifth year. Dr. Ricotta and team specialize in minimally invasive endovascular therapy, endovascular robotic surgery, aortic and peripheral aneurysms, peripheral artery disease and venous disease.

Dr. Ricotta and the experienced team at Prime Vascular Institute offer treatment options for the entire spectrum of vascular disorders, including non-operative medical management, open surgery, and minimally invasive endovascular techniques including TCAR (transcarotid artery revascularization), Endovascular Robotics, and Intravascular Lithotripsy.

Dr. Ricotta and team also provide specialized procedures that are designed to spare tissue, repair damage, and help maintain and restore function in limbs that would otherwise have to be amputated. The practice also has a full-service, office-based outpatient surgery center, and ultrasound program, as well as a comprehensive vein center.
