Pediatric General Surgery

At Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups, our experienced pediatric general surgeons use Tenet’s award-winning South Florida hospitals for their surgeries and are well equipped to safely and successfully complete your child’s procedures.

Our board-certified pediatric surgeons treat children for a wide variety of congenital, infectious, traumatic and other specialized problems. Through collaboration among pediatric specialties, young surgical patients receive the most comprehensive continuum of care.

Referrals to general surgeons are typically made through a patient’s primary care doctor. General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal intestines including esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland (depending on the availability of head and neck surgery specialists). It also deals with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue and hernias. General surgeons deal mainly in the torso.
